My hair has it's own frustrating challenges, so my advice may not be too helpful, but I love redken products. I tried a relaxer in high school and it made my hair fall out, so now my goal is to get off the flat iron crack. I found that when I wash my hair (every other day) I leave a little bit of conditioner in it and I form large curls (about 5 around my head) with my finger. When they air dry I gently part them. My hair is shinier and healther when I do this!
I, too, started the natural process. I have been natural for 4 months now, and it is a "trying", yet wonderful process. My saving grace has been sew-in's! They are wonderful if you do not want to put tons of heat on your hair, or manipulate it a lot. When I started my natural journey, my hair fell just above my shoulders. Now, after wearing sew-in's, my hair is almost to the middle of my back. I think the length is coming from a mixture of keeping it braided and leaving the relaxer alone.
But I wish you both the best of luck in your natural hair journey!

I'm going natural myself. So glad to know I'm not alone. I quit the Relaxer June 5!
Nairobi products are great for natural hair.
I have been natural for almost a year now. It is a journey that I embraced with open arms. No more relaxers for me.
Way to go ladies-you both look gorgeous. Give me a call if you ever need advice or just to complain!

During the summer I love to go natural. It's the easiest thing to do with it being so hot.
